Girona is a beautiful city that lies in the north of Catalonia in Spain, close to the French border. It’s located on the confluence of many rivers including the Galligants, Guell, and Ter. The Baix Emporada campsite is nestled just a couple of minutes’ walk from the glorious beach. It’s enormous with over 300 pitches available, but the site isn’t for tents. They have their own mobile home bungalows available which offer plenty of space and comfort. The bungalows range from one to three bedrooms, and all have private bathrooms with hot water, a kitchenette, air conditioning, and private terraces. The site also has plenty of facilities including an outdoor swimming pool, a grocery store to buy provisions, barbecue facilities, and kids activities. The onsite restaurant serves up some delicious Catalan and international cuisine, and there is a fully stocked bar. Internet access is available through some of the site. Tamariu campsite

This large campsite is located just a short distance down the coast from Girona. It has 170 pitches available for tents, motorhomes, and caravans. The site also has a number of bungalows available ranging from one to three rooms and has private bathrooms with kitchenettes and air conditioning. Just a few minutes’ down the road is a large sandy beach, the perfect place to sun bath, or take refreshing dips in the ocean. On site, there is a swimming pool, a playground for kids, a grocery store, a launderette, hot showers, a car wash, and a shaded picnic and barbecue area. The onsite restaurant serves up some simple but delicious dishes, and there is a bar where guests can buy wine and cold beers. Pets are permitted on the campsite. Camping Mas Patoxas is nestled in the Costa Brava and is perfect for families. It’s close to the village of Pals and the city of Girona. It’s located inland around 3 miles from the beach, so a rental car is most probably needed. They have many pitches available for tents, campervans, and caravans. They have plenty of facilities on the campsite including a waterpark which will keep kids occupied for hours. There is a small zoo which has goats and donkeys. The large campsite is located close to Girona and the French border, and has enough pitches for 237 tents, campervans, and caravans. Most have shaded positions, a welcome relief in the midday heat, and an electricity hook up. They also have several mobile homes and bungalows to rent, all of which have air conditioning, private bathrooms with hot showers, and bedrooms. The site is nestled in a glorious location next to a river north of Girona. They boast an outdoor pool, two heated indoor swimming pools, a spa offering a range of therapies, a grocery store, tennis court, mini golf, kids playground, laundry services, an onsite restaurant, and a bar. The campsite enjoys a beautiful location within a forested area near a river. Close by is Banyoles Lake, the biggest in Catalonia. The campsite features three different outdoor swimming pools, kids’ playground, and sports courts. On the lake, guests can go fishing or paddle boarding. Camping Sabanell is a beachfront campsite near to Blanes and close to Girona. The site has got pitches for over 250 camping, campervans, and caravans.
